History.

Inspection pit covers or commonly known as a 'catch pit cover' are primarily used to access drainage systems along a railway line that are used to trap silt from entering the drainage network and potentially deters track damage.

Normally located at track lineside and through stations. These add a great effect to any model railway diorama.

Supplied in a sheet of 12 laser-cut covers and frames, plus a couple extra spare frames. 

• Blue covers  - Modern Era
• Brown covers  - Early Era. 
• Supplied unpainted in a pack of 12 in your slected Era.

Easy to paint with Acrylic paints. 

We recommend a prime coat first, then add your brown or blue paint once dry to suit your era ordered.
